Lindsay English, DDS

Dentistry has always felt like a calling. My father was a dentist in Fort Smith, and though he passed away when I was very young, I grew up hearing from his patients about the impact he had on their lives. That — more than anything — inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I earned my Bachelor’s degree at Baylor University before completing my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Mississippi in Jackson.
Early in my career, my focus was on cosmetic dentistry, facial esthetics, and digital dentistry — including CEREC same-day crowns, which allowed us to design, mill, and place a crown in a single visit rather than the traditional two-appointment process. But as I gained experience with patients, I kept asking a question that wouldn’t let me go: why do dental problems develop in the first place? That curiosity led me down a path I didn’t expect — into airway health, myofunctional therapy, TMJ and TMD treatment, orthodontics, and tongue tie releases. I began to see that so many of the issues showing up in the mouth had roots far beyond the teeth themselves. Today, that journey has taken me further still, into biological dentistry and minimally invasive cosmetic approaches that preserve natural tooth structure rather than remove it. I am both SMART Certified and hold IAOMT Accreditation, reflecting our practice’s deepening commitment to whole-body, biocompatible care.

I believe in treating the whole person, not just the teeth. Early in my career, I worked with a patient who simply wanted to straighten her smile — but a thorough exam revealed something much deeper going on. Once we addressed the health of her gums, everything changed. For years she had been feeling unwell, and doctors hadn’t been able to pinpoint why. Restoring her oral health gave her back her overall wellbeing. That experience has shaped how I practice ever since. So often, the mouth holds answers the rest of the body hasn’t been able to offer — and that connection between oral health and whole-body health is at the center of everything we do here.

What I love most is giving patients confidence they didn’t think was possible. Whether someone has been told there’s nothing that can be done, or they’ve simply learned to live with a smile they don’t love — I find so much joy in showing them another way. This same philosophy carries into our approach to airway health and myofunctional therapy: so many patients have been living with issues like mouth breathing, tongue ties, or improper swallowing patterns without ever knowing there was a solution. Through conservative, thoughtful treatment, we can accomplish a lot. My goal is always for you to feel informed, heard, and genuinely comfortable — and to leave with a clear understanding of your oral health and a plan that actually makes sense for your life.

Outside of the office, you’ll find me on my small farm in the Springdale area, where I live with my three horses — Hemi, Penny, and Birdie — and my three dogs: Olive and Poppi, two rescued French bulldogs, and Ranger, a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog who is a certified therapy dog and spends his days right here at work with me. (Patients love him.) My sister Brooke and her family are nearby in Fayetteville, which I’m grateful for every day. I love to travel, read, and tend to my flower garden — especially the irises, which my dad adored, and the ranunculus, dahlias, coneflowers, and zinnias I’ve added over the years in his memory. Northwest Arkansas is a special place to call home, and I feel lucky to serve this community.

Lorna Offutt, DDS

Growing up as an Army kid, Lorna Offutt got to see a lot of the world — Germany, Colorado, Maryland, Alabama — before her family eventually settled in Missouri. But it was the Ozarks that always felt like home, and when the time came to put down roots, she and her husband knew exactly where they wanted to be. Lorna earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2011, and since then has continued deepening her expertise in holistic and biological dentistry, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and emerging dental technologies. She is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM), holds SMART Certification for the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings, and is trained in ozone therapy — all reflecting her commitment to care that supports the whole body, not just the teeth.

Dentistry was never a question for Lorna — it was a calling she found early. With a family full of people in medicine and patient care, she grew up with a deep sense of giving back woven into her DNA. As a little girl she would dig through her dad’s fishing tackle box and play dentist, lining up her “instruments” just so. What drew her to the field then still drives her today: the belief that a great dental experience can genuinely change how someone feels about their health — and themselves. Whether it’s a comfortable cleaning, a painless filling, or helping someone finally love their smile, she finds real joy in shifting the way people think about going to the dentist.

At the heart of how Lorna practices is a simple but powerful idea: the mouth is the gateway to the rest of the body, and real care means finding the root of an issue rather than just treating the surface. She takes her time with patients, especially those who are nervous or anxious — connecting first, listening carefully, and working at a pace that feels right. Her goal is for every person who walks through the door to feel comfortable, heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Outside the office, you’ll find Lorna and her husband out in the thick of everything NWA has to offer. He’s the cook in their house; she’s the baker — and together they spend their free time hiking, camping, and exploring the trails on two wheels. Lorna is a proud member of Femmes Gravel, an all-women’s gravel biking community that supports and builds up women riders toward completing a century ride each May. She also quilts, gardens, and has been getting her hands into pottery. It’s that same hometown warmth and love of community that drew her back to the Ozarks — and that she brings into her practice every single day.
